Side plait- Simple and easy
09:28Hey guys! I absolutely love doing side plaits; I used to
always do them last year and the year before. I only stopped doing them because
I permanently straightened my hair again in the middle of last year (when I was
in HK) and I didn’t want to ruin it by always braiding my hair. If I have naturally
straight hair, I would still always have a side plait.
Most of you probably know how to do a side plait because it’s
quite a popular hair style but for those of you that have no clue how to do
one, I’ve got step by step instructions. I gotta admit, I’m never a good explainer
so just bare with me.
Equipment:
- Bobby pins (at least 2)
- Hair tie (one)
Step 1: Brush your hair so it’s nice and smooth (and easy to
work with) and move all your hair to the side that you want the plait to be
Step 2: Grab a small lot of hair from whichever side your plait
will be. Twist it until the length gets behind your ear and you pin that there
(note: you don’t HAVE to do this step, I just reckon it looks better)
Step 3: Make sure your hair is all swept to one side, brush
it a bit to make sure there are no bumps. Start plaiting (check my braiding/plaiting
post if you don’t know how to braid/plait)
Step 4: Once you get to the end, or to where you want to
stop, just simply tie it with a hair tie
Step 5: If there are any bits of hair that you don’t want sticking
out, just pin them

What’s a post without a random camwhore photo? ;)
P.S. Don’t laugh because I’m wearing an ugly oversized
jumper. It’s cold and I can’t be bothered changing haha
Question of the week: What type of hair do you have?
(long+wavy, long+curly, long+straight..etc)
Love,
Elaine
