Mini shopping spree

Hi guys! Seems like I haven't written a blog post in aggggeees! I'm just too lazy haha and besides, I can't think of anything slightly interesting to write about even though it is the holidays but I haven't done anything too amazing. Anyways, yesterday, I went shopping at Westfield, Albany with my friend Rachel. It was so fun! It's been ages since I've bought that many clothing items in one outing haha. So I'm going to talk about what a bought.

From K Mart, I bought:
Two shorts that can be used for exercising or just normal everyday for home. I already have three shorts at home but there's no harm in buying just two more because I'll wear them at home all the time since they're so comfortable.

From Valley Girl, I bought:

  • Leopard print shorts (YAY! I finally have some more shorts! I only had two shorts left at home so I'm definitely glad that I have one more pair now)

  • Shirt with skulls (I am actually not sure what the proper name for it but so happy with this! It goes with pretty much anything! Plain jeans, shorts and dresses. I can even be worn differently, buttons up or unbuttoned with a plain singlet underneath. I'll definitely be wearing this top quite often since you can match it with anything)

From Cotton On, I bought:

  • A black skirt (I finally have a black skirt! haha I have always wanted a black skirt and yesterday I finally found one that looks good. It seems like I never ever see black skirts at stores but that's probably just because I was never truly looking hard enough for them but oh well! I finally have a black skirt. So happy because black skirts go well with anything!)

  • A floral print skirt ((This skirt looks quite good. It goes well with plain tops (I'll be wear it with the black tank top) and it's perfect for the summer time : D))

  • Plain black tank top (Even though it's just a plain black top, it's always good to have more because they will never go out of style and you can wear them with anything you want and it'll look great 99% of the time)

Here are some mix and match outfits using the clothes I bought:

A black dress with the skull top looks so good because wearing just the dress would seem too plain but once you put on the top, it makes it 10x better! They go so well together. And I reckon it looks best when the top is unbuttoned with only the knot holding it together. (The one in the photo is just the black tank top that I bought but this tank top is a mid-length one so it'll be too short for a dress but a long-length tank top would be perfect as a little dress)
The black skirt with skull top looks amazing together! It's pretty much like the outfit above, except that this time, the top is buttoned up and the skirt is flowy instead of skin tight.

Leopard print shorts with black tank top looks good because since the shorts already have a pattern/design on them, you wouldn't want to have a top that's got too much of a pattern/design. Wearing this plain tank top makes the shorts stand out and you can focus on the leopard prints more than the top.

There's nothing too special about this outfit, just a plain top with a floral skirt.
Love,
Elaine
